Canadian National locomotives idling in the bitter cold. Chicago Illinois USA. Febuary 2007.

I took this photo one evening after work, in Febuary of 2007. The city of Chicago Illinois and other parts of the Midwest region, were experiencing a severe deep freeze condition at the time of this photograph. The outside temperature this day around sunset, was actually 8 degrees above zero farenheight and falling quickly. There was also a sharp wind blowing in out of the west as well, making it seem colder than it really was. We are looking south on South Kostner Avenue and West 33rd Street on Chicago's near southwest side. A pair of Canadian National diesel electric locomotives, are seen idling at the former Illinois Central Crawford Yard, as another winter day is coming to an end.
