One of My H.O Scale model railroad layouts I built during the 1980's. Chicago Illinois USA. 1987.

I built this unique 4' x 6' H.O scale model train layout in late 1986. It was basically a little midwest industrial shortline /branchline generic layout set in the 1960's and early 1970's. I was a big fan of the old Chicago, Burlington & Quincy Railroad 1950's era "Blackbird" color scheme, and painted this Athearn EMD GP-9 in this color scheme. Here it is performing some switching local chores on My ficticious Alsip Railroad in 1987. At this time, I was enjoying railfanning the Indiana Harbor Belt mainline in Alsip Illinois.
