I took this photo during an August 2006 visit to the Illinois Railway Museum, located in the small town of Union Illinois. Preserved Chicago Surface Lines electric city streetcar # 1374, served Chicago transit riders from 1906 to 1945 when it was demoted to maintenance of way support operations. Today, after several years of restoration by several hard working and dedicated museum volunteers, it operates today for visiting museum patrons.
