I took this photo on a sunny and mild Indian Summer morning in October of 2006. We are looking south from the eastbound platform at the Metra ex Milwaukee Road Western Avenue commuter rail station just a few miles outside of downtown Chicago Illinois. This scene was photographed looking in to the adjacent Union Pacific Railroad's former Chicago & NorthWestern Railroad California Avenue commuter coach yard. Union Pacific maintenance department cres are inspecting commuter coaches and equipment on site at this location.
