Digital Live Sound Video: Southbound Amtrak Hiawatha train. Glenview Illinois USA. Late March 2009.

I photographed this digital live sound video on location at the Chestnut Avenue railroad crossing in north suburban Glenview Illinois. Seen here at 2:00 PM on a sunny afternoon in late March of 2009, is a speeding Chicago bound Amtrak Hiawatha service regional passenger train enroute from Milwaukee Wisconsin. Notice the Brake Shoe smoke coming from the bottom of the pushing locomotive after it clears the railroad crossing. The train will soon be stopping at the nearby Glenview Amtrak /Metra commuter rail station less than a mile south of here.

Leading the train southbound is a De-Engined late 1970's era Amtrak EMD model F-40PH passenger locomotive, that was converted into a baggage car with a control cab.
