German steam in Indiana. The Hesston Steam Museum. Hesston Indiana. July 2007.

A very pleasant and family oriented railfan attraction, is the Hesston Steam Museum. This museum in a countrylike setting, is located in Hesston Indiana just south of nearby New Buffalo Michigan.

Seen here is a Meter Guage ( U.S 2 Foot narrow guage) 0-8-0 coal burning steam locomotive from the European nation formerly known as East Germany. No longer hauling industrial and logging train assignments, today it hauls visiting museum tourists in northwestern Indiana. For more information, log on to www.hesston.org
