I took this photo after work one evening in May of 2009. One of My all time favorite locations to take railroad photos or videos in near northwest suburban Elmwood Park Illinois, is the 73rd Avenue railroad crossing, just south of Grand Avenue. This is a very busy railroad mainline in the Greater Chicagoland Area. There are many daily local and express Metra commuter trains, as well as many freight trains here on the Canadian Pacific ex Milwaukee Road mainline.

This crossing and the one on Grand Ave,, close by, should NOT EXIST! You don't have to be a genius in physics / public safety to figure it out. Just watch the traffic at rush hour and then watch the trains!
I bet this would look nice as an H.O Scale kit in miniature.
