I took this photo on an overcast Autum morning, in October of 2006. For many years in the city of Chicago, Brighton Junction located near South Archer and Western Avenues was a place were modern double stack container trains met yesterdays steam era Semaphore signals. Seen here in it's last Autum before closing and rebuilding to automated signaling in July of 2007, this junction was definately Classic ifnot Outdated railroading on Chicago's southwest side.
