On Friday, December 1st 2006...The entire Chicago area suffered from a heavy Lake Effect Snowstorm that snowed all morning and in to the early afternoon hours.
I took this photo around 3:00 PM that afternoon after the snowfall had came to a stop not long before I took this photo.
We are at the suburban River Grove Illinois Metra commuter rail station on Thatcher Avenue. An eastbound Canadian Pacific freight train passes the station in a Christmas / Holiday card image amongst freshly fallen snow.
