I took this photo after work one summer evening in June of 2009. Looking east on Grand Avenue, We spot a northbound Canadian National heavy transfer freight train, waiting on a hold order around sunset. I remembered the date I took this photo, because the following day Friday, June 19th 2009....The greater Chicago area suffered a severe thunderstorm with heavy torrential rains and flooding in many areas.
This view is a scene of the calm before the storm.
