Chicago's historic Brighton Junction. April 2007. ( Gone.)

I took this photo back in early April of 2007.

This would be the last Springtime srason for Chicago's old fashioned manual steam era Brighton Junction at South Archer and western Avenues.

On the weekend of July 3rd, 2007, this old shack and semaphore signals were taken out of service. The crosstracks were replaced by the Canadian National Railroad, and new tall overhead signals were added.

I miss hanging out at the old Brighton Junction today. It was nice while it lasted.
