Canadian National train with former GTW units passing through Ash Street Junction. Chicago Illinois. June 2007., a photo by Eddie from Chicago on Flickr.
I took this photo, back in June of 2007.
A westbound Canadian National freight train with locomotives acquired through merger from the former Grand Trunk Western Railroad, are viewed passing the abandoned Ash Street tower at approximately West 33rd Street, just immediately west of South Western Avenue.
A light rain was falling, as I captured this train traveling over the former Illinois Central RR Iowa Division Mainline on Chicago's near southwest side.
