The disasembled Ferris Wheel with a freshly painted superstructure. Kiddieland Amusement Park. Melrose Park Illinois USA. November 2006.
Hi everyone!
Welcome aboard another edition of Eddie's Railfan Page.
I tok this photo one morning in November of 2006. Seen here looking west from the east parking lot alongside First Avenue, is the Ferris Wheel ride at the local
Kiddieland Amusement Park. The park had closed for the season approximately two
weeks before, and the various rides on the midway were now disasembled for the
off season, with sections being put in to winter storage. The Ferris Wheel
superstructure, had just recieved a fresh coat of silver paint prior to My arrival
on foot to the east parking lot,and the aroma could be smelled from where I was
standing just outside the fence.
This is an often ignored behind the scenes photo, of an amusement park at the begining of the off season, before the onset of freezing winter weather arrives.
