A classic image of vintage EMD yard switching locomotives from the 1950's.
Central Illinois Railroad # 1206, is a rebuilt 1950's era EMD model SW-9
yard switcher locomotive. The Central Illinois Railroad, operates on a
former Burlington Northern industrial branchline, in Chicago's Pilsen
neighborhood. Locomotive # 1206, was recently repainted from an ugly plain
blue with a horizontal red stripe and unfortunately....Heavy grafitti tagging,
to this 1950's like Chicago, Burlington & Quincy "Revival" heritage color
scheme.
