I took this photograph after work one late afternoon, in March of 2007. We are looking west at the Canadian National / Belt Railway of Chicago crosstracks at Hawthorne Junction, located on the Chicago city limits at the border of west suburban Cicero Illinois. A single CP Rail locomotive, pulls an intermodal transfer train northbound over the Belt Railway of Chicago tracks enroute to Cragin Junction, and points west over the former Milwaukee Road mainline.
