I photographed this digital live sound video on location at Hawthorne Junction, on a hot summer afternoon in June of 2008. We are on the west side of the Belt Railway of Chicago / Canadian National ex Illinois Central crosstracks on the Cicero side of the border at the Chicago city limits. A northbound Canadian Pacific transfer train is seen in transit over the Belt Railway of Chicago tracks enroute to Cragin Junction at Grand and Cicero Avenues on Chicago's northside, and to points west over the Canadian Pacific ex Milwaukee Road mainline from there. The train is passing over the Canadian National Railroad's former Illinois Central, Iowa Division Mainline crosstracks.
