Part of the fun of railfanning on location, is being able to still spot a relic or two from fallen flag railroads that are still rolling around many years after the merger that phased them out. I spotted this 1977 era SCL /L & N covered hopper traveling southbound on transfer freight train at Hawthorne Junction. The roadname initials for those who are unfamiliar are as follows : SCL =Seaboard Coast Line
and L & N = Louisville & Nashville.
