A common site on Chicago's railroad lines, are the many loaded unit coal trains entering in to Chicago. I spotted this eastbound Union Pacific unit coal train entering Chicago Illinois, over the former Chicago & NorthWestern Railroad mainline in August of 2007. I photographed this scene facing northwest, at the North Kilbourn Avenue railroad crossing alongside West kinzie Street. The tall building in the background, is the abandoned Brach's Candy Factory.
