On the historic date of Saturday, June 17th, 2000....Electric streetcar service returned to the city of Kenosha Wisconsin since 1932. This is former Toronto, Transit Commision PCC ( Presidents Conference Commitee design) 1951 vintage electric stretcar # 4610. Refurbished and retaining it's Toronto Transit Commision colors it wore in Canada, this modern postwar electric streamlined streetcar now operates on a loop of track for visitors and commuters alike in downtown Kenosha Wisconsin. The line operates from the Metra station ( West end) turns left on 56th Street and proceeds east to Harbor Park and the Kenosha Harbor (East end.) makes another left and proceeds westbound along the harbor on 54th Street past the streetcar barn, and back to the elevated Metra commuter rail station. There are plans in the works for line expansion in the hopefully near future.

Here is car # 4610 just before the ribbon cutting ceremony on Saturday, June 17th, 2000. It was a lovely day to ride on a vintage historical electric streetcar in an urban setting, instead of the usual museum settings these days.
