I took this lovely Indiana Summer railfan photo on location at Hawthorne Junction. A Canadian National transfer freight train, is seen departing from the former Illinois Central Railroad Hawthorne Yard in west suburban Cicero Illinois. The train is slowly approaching the Chicago city limits border on the interchange track at Hawthorne Junction. The train will soon be traveling southbound on Belt Railway of Chicago tracks. It was a lovely Autum day that was just to good to pass up for great photography and lovely Autum scenery.
