Grand Trunk Western freight train rounding the southbound interchange curve at Hayford Junction. Chicago Illinois. January 1987.

I took this photo on a January afternoon back in 1987.

An all morning heavy lake effect snowstorm has finally stopped falling, as a Grand Trunk Western freight train is viewerd rounding the southbound interchange curve connection at Hayford Junction on Chicago's southwest side. This train had just departed from the nearby Belt Railway of Chicago Clearing Yard in Bedford Park Illinois, and will now proceed south on GTW rails.
