Late day Winter sunshine in Chicago's Logan Square neighborhood. Chicago Illinois USA. Thursday, March 4th 2010.

Late afternon winter sunshine in Chicago's Logan Square neighborhood. Chicago Illinois. Thursday, March 4th 2010.

I took this photo yesterday just before sunset on West Diversey Avenue.

Myself and several other less than fortunate motorists, where stuck in bumper to bumper slow moving westbond rush hour traffic on West Diversey Avenue.

Upon approach to the unique diagonal three way intersection of West Diversey, North Homan and Milwaukee Avenues, I spotted this urban photo opportunity, briefly stepped out of My car and quickly snapped it while the westbound traffic was not moving.

It is late afternoon around 4:30 or so toward the end of Chicago's Winter season, as the late day sun and silhouettes of the old buildings give one an idea of just how timeless images like these are often taken granted in Chicago's Logan Square neighborhood. Architecturally speaking, not much has changed here.

I grew up at 2626 North Lawndale which isn't too far from this photo. Eddie makes me homesick and I love it.
