I photographed this unique digital live sound video at the Dewes Street railroad crossing in north suburban Glenview Illinois during severe fog conditions.

Begining late the evening before, the entire Chicago area was under a severe dense fog advisory from the National Weather Service. Visibility was less than a 1/4 mile in most areas and actually zero in several other parts of the greater Chicagoland area. The southbound early morning Metra local enroute to Chicago Union Station from Fox Lake Illinois, is viewed here at approximately 5:44 AM in very low visibility conditions. Luckilly, the sun would start burning this off gradually before 10:00 AM.
