Two trains meet on the Strasburg Railroad. Strasburg Pennsylvania USA. August 1990.

Twenty years ago this coming August, I went on a vacation trip of a lifetime to Strasburg Pennsylvania. It was a fun vacation that was partly spent doing railfan activities in the southeastern portion of the State of Pennsylvania.

I took this photo one hot and hazy summer morning in August of 1990.
The returning train to Strasburg on the left being pulled by former Great Western Railroad (Colorado USA) Baldwin 2-10-0 Decapod type steam locomotive #90, waits at the Groff's Grove picnic flag stop depot, as former Canadian National 0-6-0 steam switcher locomotive # 31 passes by on the passing siding.

Photographed on 35MM ASA 100 speed film to capture a timeless image recreated from the steam era decades ago.

Only place in North America where regularly scheduled steam power passenger trains pass each other, still! In July and August each year. sweet!!!!
