I took this photo after work one hot Summer afternoon back in July of 2006.
Looking south from South Kostner Avenue at approximately West 33rd Street, is a very busy railroad crew from the Canadian National Railroad working at Crawford Yard.
Two EMD roadswitcher locomotives from fallen flag predecessor railroads Illinois Central and the Grand Trunk Western, are being utilized to assemble tank car trains at this former Illinois Central freight yard east of Cicero Illinois.
