Hello everyone!
Welcome aboard Eddie's Railfan Page from the city of Chicago Illinois.
I took this late afternoon photo on Thursday, March 4th 2010 in Chicago's Dunning neighborhood on the northside of the city. Seen here along the east side of North Narragansett Avenue north of the intersection at West Fullerton Avenue, is a local scenic outdoor neighborhood family place known as Riis Park. ( Pronounced "Reese.")
This park is close to the Brickyard strip mall, and is easilly accesible via the Chicago Transit Authority's bus routes on Fullerton, Narragansett and Diversey Avenues.
Although Chicago is now in the final stage or two of Winter on the calandar, there was quiete a bit of leftover snow on the ground from February's lake effect snowstorms of 2010. This was a very pleasant late Winter scene in Chicago on this cold but sunny day nonetheless.
