Rare Historical Photo. Chicago's Brighton Junction during the CTA orange line construction. January 1990.

I took this photo during a Jauary 1990 visit to one of My favorite southside Chicago railfan places known as Brighton Junction.

It was a sunny , dry and cold day. The Chicago Transit Authority's Orange line rapid transit line to Chicago's Midway Airport, was under construction at this time. The construction vranes in the background, would soon be used as pile drivers, for the begining of overhead bridge construction work.
