Chicago's Riverview Park. 1938.

Hi everyone!
Welcome aboard Eddie's Railfan Page from the city of Chicago Illinois USA.

Many years ago, a very popular seasonal family attraction on the northside of Chicago, was none other than Riverview Park.

Located on North Western Avenue, and bodered by the Chicago River on the west, Belmont Avenue on the south, and West Roscoe Avenue on the north, this amusement park existed from 1903 until 1967. At some point in time, it was rumored to be the Worlds largest amusement park.

Today, this is the site of a large outdoor retail strip mall, and Chicago Police Department station. ( Don't have to go far to catch shoplifters here.) .

Thanks.
Eddie K.
