The Oak Park Society of Model Engineers H.O Scale model railroad club. Oak Park Illinois USA. March 2011.

I took this photo during a visit to the Oak Park Society of Model Engineers H.O Scale Model Railroad Club.

Railroads both past and current, are represented here on the clubs layout.

The protototype of this 1950's era 40 foot green and yellow boxcar, was used by the long gone Chicago & NorthWestern Railroad.

The car's reporting marks, are for the C & N,W subsidiary railroad known as The Chicago, Minneapolis, Saint Paul & Omaha Railroad.

The Route of the 400 advertisement to the right of the car, promotes passenger train travel aboard one of the 400 series passenger trains from the Chicago & NorthWestern Railroad. Their slogan was "400 Miles in 400 Minutes", back in pre Amtrak times.
