THE OLDEST FIREMAN

Hello everyone!
Welcome aboard Eddie's Railfan Page, from the city of Chicago Illinois USA.

One of My favorite memories from growing up in Chicago during the 1960's and 70's era, was watching the Carol Burnett Show on Saturday nights with My family on CBS Channel 2 in Chicago.

The Carol Burnett Show aired on CBS Televisionfrom 1967 until 1978, and was a fun and very live comedy show in wich things would sometimes go unplanned, and the actors had to do some serious ad libbing on short notice.

Some of My favorite sketches on the Carol Burnett Show, were the ones where Tim Conway played an elderly and bumbling old man character.

This particular sketch in wich He plays an unlikely fireman at such an advanced age, always had Me laughing everytime I had seen it.

Notice how fellow actor Harvey Korman is actually busting up laughing by the end of the sketch.

Heck! I thought that it would be fun to staart todays posting with a good laugh instead of the usual trains and transportation subjects photographs.

Thanks.
Eddie K.
