A northbound Chicago Transit Authority yellow line rapid transit train, is viewed crossing Main Street in downtown north suburban Skokie Illinois, on a bitterly cold Winter day in February of 2009.
Just recently, the CTA constructed and opened a new station at Oakton Street just immediately south of this location a few city blocks from here, and now the CTA yellow trains operating on the Skokie Swift route through here, no longer speed through this location, but rather move slower to make the new station stop at Oakton Street.
