Bachman Spectrum Series B & O EM 1 steam locomotive.

I photographed this digital live sound video recently, at the Oak Park Society of Model Engineers,H.o Scale Model Railroad Club.

One of the latest and "Hottest" must have steam locomotives in H.O Scale these days, is the recently released Bachman Spectrum Series model, of a Baltimore & Ohio Railroad Class EM 1 2-8-8-4 articulated steam locomotive from the late steam era.

The Baltimore & Ohio Railroad, used these huge articulated steam locomotives on heavy freight trains and coal drags during the 1940's and 50's steam to diesel transition era. I believe that these could have well been the final "New" steam locomotives on the B & O fleet prior to dieselization.

Just like the prototype, this locomotive model is more than capable of pulling a long and heavy train.
