One of My all time favorite Summertime memories in the greater Chicagoland area, was going out for some delicious and refreshing soft serve ice cream at any number of local Chicago area Drive In restaurants, street corner neighborhood establishments, or even roadside establishments in the outlying areas.
Seen here is one of My all time favorite places in the greater Chicagoland area, known as the Hamburger Heaven Drive In Restaurant in Elmhurst Illinois.
Hamburger Heaven is a classic old 1950's era street corner drive in restaurant with a walk up window, and is located at the southeast corner of North Avenue / Rt # 64 and York Street in Elmhurst Illinois.
The food is good here, the prices are cost effective, and You just can't beat that classic "Baby Boomer Era" 1950's style architecture and atmosphere from the past.
