Northbound Grand Trunk Western Railroad intermodal train approaching Marquette Park. Chicago Illinois. May 1987.

I took this photograph on a lovely springtime day, way back in May of 1987.

We are south of West 71st Street facing north in Chicago's Marquette Park neighborhood on the southwest side of the city.

A northbound Grand Trunk Western Railroad intermodal train has just passed through Hayford Junction, and is now approaching the West 71st Street railroad crossing, and will soon be passing along the west side of Chicago's Marquette Park.

Thanks.

Wow, a train heading to the old Elsdon yard. Gone by then, so the train was probably headed where...to the old Railport facility near 47th and Damen?
