Framed in the train station doorway. The Illinois Railway Museum. Union Illinois USA. Friday, July 3rd 2009.

Chicago, Aurora & Elgin wooden interurban train framed through the station doorway. The Illinois Railway Museum. Union Illinois. Friday, July 3rd 2009.

It's nice taking those portrait style photos of the antique railroad equipment at railroad museums, but it is even nicer yet when You can take a photo that could be straight out of the historic past. Except for the outfit that the young girl in the doorway is wearing, this image of the two wooden Chicago, Aurora and Elgin Railroad wooden interurban cars....could easily have been taken on the C,A & E Aurora Branch many years ago. The Illinois Railway Museum is more than a museum, it is a working demonstration vintage railroad as well.
