Switching activity on the south hump at the BNSF Railway's Corwith Yard. Chicago Illinois. January 2007.

I was definately at the right place at the right time when I took this photo one sunny, dry but cold Winter morning back in January of 2007.

This view is looking east on South Archer Avenue toward the intersection of West 47th Street in Chicago's Brighton Park neighborhood on the southwest side of the city.
With heavy loads of loaded double stack container cars being pulled up the hill and let go to roll down the hump in to the yard ladder tracks a car or two at a time, this is definately a job that requires those modern 3 and 4 unit high horsepower locomotives coupled together. The former A,T & S,F Corwith Yard was alive and well during this visit.
