Two rush hour CTA buses at the West Belmont and North Octavia Avenue loop. Chicago Illinois USA. October 2006.

CTA rush hour buses at Belmont Avenue turn around loop west of North Harlem Avenue. Chicago Illinois. October 2006.

I took this photo one pleasant Indian Summer afternoon in Chicago's Mont Clare neighborhood at the intersection of West Belmont and North Octavia Avenues.

This particular Chicago Transit Authority bus terminal turning loop facility, is an auxilary one used during rush hour periods only on the busy CTA Route # 77 Belmont Avenue bus route.

It appears that one of the two buses idling on standby, is experiencing some sort of minor mechanical problem as the rear engine compartment hood is open. A CTA Supervisor / Mechanic's S.U.V vechicle is on the scene monitoring the situation.

The two buses are 1990's era Flxible Metro model 40 foot transit buses.
