I found this photograph at My link page "Northern California Bus Fans", located to the right of Your computer screen.
One of the most colorful and unique color schemes I have ever seen in photographs, was that of D.C Transit in the city of Washington D.C many years ago.
I believe that this color scheme was proboubly introduced by D.C Transit during the 1950's era, and was originally used on the PCC electric streetcars operated by D.C Transit until 1962. This color scheme was eventually used on the D.C Transit's fleet of buses.
Having a soft spot in My nostalgic heart for the 1940's and 50's era General Motors TDH Series "Old Look" transit buses Myself, this color scheme looked very striking and modern on them.
