I took this photo after work one late afternoon, in March of 2007.
We are on location at Hawthorne Junction. It is the very begining of the Springtime season on this sunny day in late March of 2007, as the grass and scenery is yet to turn green very soon.
Seen here heading southbound over the Belt Railway of Chicago approaching the Canadian National ex Illinois Central crosstracks, is a single CSX Transportation Company EMD model SD 40-2 roadswitcher running light.
The hill in the background to the left of the engine, is the abandoned site of the Bell Air Drive In Movie Theatre in adjacent west suburban Cicero Illinois. Hawthorne Junction is at the Chicago city limits by the Cicero border. The overpass bridge in the background, is West 31st Street.
