I took this photo two days ago, in near northwest suburban Elmwood Park Illinois.
After being buried under heavy lake effect snow accumulation from the Tuesday, February 1st Chicago blizzard of 2011 for nearly two weeks, the greater Chicagoland area has been experiencing some very nice thaw conditions comparable to Springtime.
With warm daytime temperatures in the 40's and 50's for now, much of Mother Natures own seasonal "Mess" has melted.
It is great to see concrete sidewalks and grass again.
