This historic photo of Chicago's long gone Playland Park amusement park in southwest suburban Justice Illinois USA, was sent to Me recently by Mr. Robert Pitunjac from The Clear Ridge Historical Society of Chicago.
Playland Park is believed to have opened during the 1950's, and closed for good at the end of the 1979 season, due to the sudden and untimely death of the park's owner.
My family actually took Me here a handful of times during the 1970's, but unfortunately...did not have any photos of the place until now.
The Archery Range was located with other carnival style game stands, along the south midway near the southeast end of the amusement park.
Thanks Robert.
