This photograph is very special to Me, as I made several one day trips from Chicago to Michigan City Indiana and return aboard these electric heavyweight coaches from the South Shore between 1974 until 1979. It was always a pleasure for this particular Chicago southwest side teenager, to hop on board and get a change of scenery northwest Indiana style.

Once You were past the steel mills of Gary and East Chicago Indiana...it was sand dune country and woods. Even if it rained, I always enjoyed making those trips via the South Shore to Michigan City Indiana during the 1970's.
