Saint Richard's Catholic Parish Church annual summer carnival. Chicago Illinois. July 1987.

Well folks, here it is again. Another hot summer season has landed upon the graeter Chicagoland area.

Many years ago, one of My all time favorite summer activities during the 1980's, was visiting the annual summer carnival at the Saint Richard's Catholic Parish Church, located at West 50th Street and South Kostner Avenue near Chicago's Midway Airport.

This was one of the all time best carnivals I had attended during th he 1980's and early 90's in Chicago, and it was always a big hit in Chicago's neighboring Garfield Ridge and Archer Heights neighborhoods.

I took this photograph during their July 1987 carnival. Several local families with small children, are seen enjoying a ride on the carnival's carousel ride on the midway, late in the afternoon and early evening just before sunset on a hot summer day.
