There is never a such thing as too many safety features when it comes down to school buses.

In recent times, a handful of Chicago area suburban school bus companies, began experimenting with a flashing fold out rear flag to stop traffic in the street during boarding and disembarking passengers.

I photographed the fold out flashing rear flag shown here, on a Bluebird school bus in Glenview Illinois.
