Eddie K's 1960's and 70's era Santa Fe freight train entering the swing bridge., a photo by Eddie from Chicago on Flickr.
I took this photograph recently, at the Oak Park Society of Model Engineers, H.O Scale Model Railroad Club. ( Of which I am a member of today.)
I grew up on the near southwest side of Chicago Illinois during the 1960's, 70's and 80's. One of My all time favorite Chicago railroads that had served this part of town, was the former Atchinson, Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad.
My train shown here, represents a short Santa Fe freight train, that was typical of some of the ones I can remember seeing during the 1960's and 70's era when I was a kid growing up in Chicago.
Thanks.
Eddie K.
