Retired ex Graet Northern Railroad EMD F 45 # 441. The Izaak Walton Inn. Glacier National Park Montana. June 2012.

This unique "Cell Phone" picture was sent to Me recently by a family member vacationing at the Glacier National Park in the state of Montana.

Former Great Northern Railroad late 1960's era EMD F 45 cowl carbody diesel electric locomotive # 441, is viewed on the grounds of the popular Izaak Walton Inn Hotel complex.

This locomotive has been gutted on the inside, and converted in to a nique luxury room suite. The locomotive's cab and control consol, has been retained and makes for a very nice display.

After many years in freight service on the Burlington Northern Railroad after 1970. this locomotive body shell and runing gear, was repainted to it's original as delivered 1967 era Great Northern Railroad,"Big Sky Blue" color scheme.

An overnight suite in an old train locomotive? Now THAT'S cool!

All it needs now is a bumper sticker somewhere that says "If this F45 is rockin' don't bother knockin'!"

Nyuck nyuck nyuck
