I took this photo approximately one week after the Labor Day weekend, in early September of 2006. The annual swimming season has come to an end for local Chicagoans at the Chicago Park District pools and lakefront beaches, but not for this local resident. I spotted this female duck paddling through the water at Chicago's Belmont Harbor. Swimming knows no season when You are a Duck.
