Switching the south hump at the A,T & S,F Corwith Yard. Chicago Illinois USA. April 1984.

Atchinson, Topeka & Santa Fe hump yard switching. Corwith Yard. Chicago Illinois. April 1984. I took this photo at the former Atchinson, Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad Corwith Yard on Chicago's southwest side, in April of 1984. Seen here is a rebuilt early 1950's era EMD model GP-9 roadswitcher and a caboose, doing some switching work at the south hump of Corwith Yard, located above the intersection of South Archer Avenue and west 47th Street, in Chicago's Brighton Park neighborhood. Today, this is now the property of the BNSF Railway, but the old name Corwith Yard has been retained.
