I took this photo on a hot summer afternoon in June of 2007. A westbound Canadian Pacific freight train with former Soo Line units up front, is seen passing through the railroad crossing on 25th avenue in downtown Fraklin Park Illinois. The soo line was absorbed through a 1990 merger with the Canadian Pacific railroad. For some odd reason or another, many former Soo Line locomotives can be seen today working on freight trains around Chicago, in pre 1990 predecessor railroad Soo Line colors and markings.
