I took this photo looking down, from the north side of the pedestrian overpass bridge that leads to Chicago's North Avenue Beach. Although the swimming season had officially ended at Chicago's Park District pools and beaches one week before on Labor Day Weekend, People could still be found walking, Bicycle riding, inline skating, or just enjoying the sun and sand at the lakefront beaches on this lovely September day in 2006.
I spotted an approaching northbound local Chicago area school bus on Lake Shore Drive, and snapped the photo of it with Lake Michigan and the beaches in the background.
